Pinar del Maine, Forty Years North of Havana.

PINAR DEL MAINE, circa 2010

Welcome

Thanks for stopping by and checking out Cubiyanqui.

I started this online journal to share my creative efforts and other obsessions with my friends and the rest of the world. I never suspected that it would take over my whole life.

My name is Jesus Maria Alvarez. I am a novelist, cartoonist, blogger, ex-architect and baseball evangelist.

I was born on the Western end of Cuba but I've lived 72.2 % of my days north of the Mason-Dixon Line, feeling surprisingly at home, I should add. This may have to do with my long held suspicion -- confirmed by a dream many years ago -- that I had been a New Englander in a previous life.

Thanks for reading and please tell others about Cubiyanqui.

I hope that you come back soon!
